Butterscotch got her first taste of snow yesterday . I let the girls free (they didn't come out, couldn't understand what all this white stuff was) and started walking away but I heard a squawk and a flap and turned around. Butterscotch had flown halfway to the porch and was standing as still as a statue in the snow. I watched her to see what she would do. She did nothing, so I had to come "rescue" her from the sea of Certain White Death.

Your chickens have such cutie names! "The sea of certain white death..." lol too funny! Mine reacted to his first snow walk in a similar way!

Mistic emerald, I was going to ask you how you got the sky that fuscia/purple color then I realized it was an edited picture as the ground was the same color. Welcome back to BYC.
