Hey chicken fam! I'm back! I've been offline for a while, FINALLY getting my divorce settled, and getting my life back on track. I figure, I'd better re-introduce myself, since I've been gone for so long!
I live on the Big Island of Hawaii! We've been having crazy lava flows that has been running over entire neighborhoods, releasing poison gasses and dropping volcanic ash on much of our island. We've also had back to back hurricane, with only very VERY close misses, dragging torrential rains that has caused flooding damages all over the island. Still, through it all, we're thankful, and still plugging along!
For a few years now i've been a single mom of 6, ages 20, 17, 15, 12, 9, and 7. I'm very fortunate, because my kids are awesome human beings that hardly give me any trouble at all. They also help around the house, get decent grades and keep me on my toes! SOMETIMES, I have to yell, but really, I don't know what I would do without them!
We are moving into town from a really rural area, but we'll still be in a "AG zone", so are able to still raise our animals. Currently, we have 1 pig, Hami (short for Hamilton) 1 parakeet, Tiki (my daughters), 1 chinchilla, Pluto (also my daughters), 5 cats, Desirae, Pumpkin, Nibbles,Patches, and PIP (short for Phillip Hamilton), 5 dogs, Maka (a husky), Daphnie (a catahoula), Kuro (a apple head Chihuahua), and Sheila (a brat), I mean, (A Jack Russell pup). We also have a flock of 29 hens, made up of Barred Rock, Rhode Island Red, Black Sexlink, Leghorn, 2 Bantam, Americana, Astrolorps, Buff orpington, and 1 red sexlink. 1 (by accident) bantam rooster (Harry (Potter)), and a wild hen (Charles) that found our family, and came to live with us. We also have a small herd of cattle, 17 cows, 11 calves and 2 bulls. They all keep us pretty busy!!
