Woah! You're moving INTO town and can still have all those animals??!! That's amazing. Good luck with your move and welcome back to BYC!
Yup! The area that I was in, was about 20 miles out of town. Had to plant an electric pole in my yard to get electricity, no county water, (we use a catchment system), mostly unpaved roads (my association paved mine, yay!), crappy cell phone reception, no mail, street lights, and emergency services take FOREVER to get there. I will be moving into town, not quite the outskirts, but on the way there, about 3 miles from town. So that area, luckily enough, is considered "Ag" zoned, so yes, animals will be allowed, AND we can shoot on our property (we get a LOT of wild boars here). It may or may not be permanent, but I'll take it!! We love to farm, and at this point in our lives, I really don't think we could live any other way!! Thanks so much for the good wishes!

Yikes, I've never lived THAT far in the country before, but I had a boyfriend that did once... almost like visiting a (waay) different century out there. I used to have horses that I boarded for a time, then got lucky and found a little cabin in the woods (still close to town) with a barn where I could keep my ponies and watch them from my front window! My landlord was a little 92 yr old lady that just wanted someone nice to help keep up her property and only charged me $200 month. Unbelievable!! And a life changer. I paid off all my debt, met my husband and together we saved enough to buy our first home. No horses anymore, we still live in the suburbs, but it's our dream to get back out to the country someday.

Your new place sounds perfect! Even if it's not permanent, you'll create great memories and enjoy the time as long as it lasts.
:love
