I'm being given a Cream Legbar Roo with severe Frostbite.. What do I do?

I might provide an antibiotic to ward off secondary infections. I used Tylan, 1 cc per day for 1 week, injected into the breast muscle. Keep out of drafts. Provide supplemental heat, a 100 watt bulb should do, 24/7. I bought one that had a bad cold and frostbite from a freak cold spell; worst in 30 years here in KY. He was soon in good shape after a few weeks of treatment. Make sure he has plenty to eat and drink too. Mine lost only the tips of a couple of comb spikes. While I'm at it I'll soon have eggs and later in the season chicks here in Lexington KY.

Forgot that I'd replied before. The bag balm or just Vaseline sounds good, especially when the tips start drying up and may shed dead tissue. Again, mine did fine. I kept one hen he came with to keep him warm and content. Good for stress level. They are at a friend's house in case something happens to the quad I have kept and to be able to make up unrelated pairs. How did your roo do?
