I'm Building an Incubator - please don't bother asking permission to laugh at me

Shouldn't be to hard to find out.
To ship a 2.5 KG package via FedEx to London is right around $100.

Ah that isn't too bad at all then, around £75 (the exchange rate really has hit the fan

Neither am I, it's not something I have considered before but I also keep reptiles and I know people recieve shipments from the US so I guess it shouldn't be too hard to find out?

I really want some fluffy "Burdz" so I can justify spending a little, how expensive do you think? more than $200?
and now you are talking like banti

lol

good luck!! what kind of 'fluffy' birds are you thinking??

maybe we could send some over on the QM2, it only takes her 6 days to get to southamptom from nyc
Looks like I need to give the Agriculture people a call

It has indeed. Shipping via other carriers might get a cheaper rate as well.

I think Fed-ex would be the best as they have a UK presence, this definitelly need's a bit of thought but it would be cool if I could get some shipped over, that of course is only if they are easier to locate there than here, otherwise I might as well build an incubator as I will have until spring and it looks like it can take a little while

Blame the Duckling diary thread! I swear I dream of "Burdz" and "webz" now!

Welshies and Cayugas, I actually worked with ducks a lot at college and I have been meaning to get some for a couple of years, but living in the city I have been waiting to find some land to keep them on, this has now presented itself to me and its too late to get any ducks!

If you are able to get some shipped over from a breeder here make sure to offer to pay extra to have them packaged well.

Good idea, to be honest I would pay through the nose if it meant I could get a couple of ducks by Halloween, it doesn't matter too much if I have to wait until spring (and probably makes sense, practically) but it's taken me quite a long time to be able to find somewhere I can keep them without hassle from neighbours etc that I'm itching to get some now

Good luck in your search.
Have you checked with other UK members? Can find out who's in the UK here.
