I have no idea, but I would say more than less. Once you are incubating, you can plug some if you think there is too much ventilation, but it could be hard to drill more in the middle of the process. Just a thought.

I can always plug the holes, i was trying to think of how many vent holes are in the styro bators, they have 2 in the lid, and a few tiny holes elsewhere

so far the holes are 3/8 and i drilled 8 maybe?

I fixed it. But I do turn 5x a day......



I found with that many air holes I had a hard time keeping temp stable.
