I'm confused and clueless.

Recently, my roo has started laying low and spreading his wings like he's ready to be mounted, ( I'm dying of embarrasment typing this) when I go to pick him up. Is this normal? I've only seen it with my hens, so I'm just a little baffled.

I'm pretty sure it's a boy. Cotton is our White Crested Polish and he has more of that rocker look to his top feathers as opposed to the girls who have that wider do.
