I'm confused on what the pet store owner told me

Looks like a gold laced Wyandotte. The other chick could well be an olive egger.

Thats what I thought... but their feather are black with a brown line on it? not the GLW style feather with brown ridges

It's feather coloring is somewhat off, but hatchery birds are variable. The down coloring on its head is just right for a GLW, and so is the comb type. Also the leg color. I think you just have a dark GLW. Its coloring may improve a bit when it gets older.

Could also be a blue laced red wyandotte with poor coloring.
