Poultry Kid, we can't help you unless you help yourself first. No one is going to build you a coop.

However if you look around and get an idea of what you want, the many many caring helpful members here will help you brainstorm and help you with ideas.

You cannot expect to come online and be handed coop plans when no one knows how big you want, where it is located, how many hens it will need to hold, your climate, etc etc. You see where I am going with this? You need to help us help you.

And we will.

For detailed Plans you will probably have to buy a set of plans, do you have any construction skills? Do you need to be told exact details? Do you have any construction equipment even if you do have plans? If you have skills and equipment the designs should be detailed enough.

Some may let you PM them for more info. and details. There are soooo many options out there on building a coop. How detailed can one person get?

You can buy detailed plans all over the web...

here's
a ton of links:

here's some interesting reading about open-front coops:

I know the web can be a daunting place, but start at google.com, search for 'chicken coop plans' and you'll find a ton of stuff to chew on.

Good luck, and please feel free to ask for help, but go ahead and ask... you may not be a great typist, but I'm a terrible psychic.

Poultry Kid ~
How old are you?

Many people are confused about how to build a coop when they first begin thinking about it. There are lots of different ways to go about building one.

First we need to know how many chickens you have, and where you live. Is your weather hot or snowy cold for many months of the year? Are you in the city, or out in the middle of nowhere?

Will you keep your chickens in the coop and a run, or will they freerange during the day?
Please let us know the answers to these questions, and also give us any other information that you might think will help in planning a coop.

If you look at the very top of this page, there is a strip that says 'BYC Home' 'Learning Center' and a few other links. Click on the 'Coop Designs' and a page will come up showing quite a few pictures of different coops.

Will you be building this coop yourself, or do you have some help?

what part of the country do you live in? what is your weather like. Designs will vary depending on how much you want to spend, what you alread have to work with, what you are trying to protect your chickens from. What kind of predators are in your area? Do you own dogs? What kind, how old, how big? All of the above will need to be spelled out before someone can help you. It is kind of like saying you need an exactly fitting pattern for a pair of pants, but we don't know how big you are, your budget, your style, or the weather... somethinkg like that. More info put out will get you more info back.
