Thanks, poor little guy needs all the prayers he can get. He's hanging on, but not looking good. Still attached to his umbilical which still looks to have a lot of blood in it. He's breathing and laying on his side, but nothing else. Earlier today he would respond to my turning on the bright lamp over the incubator by covering his head with his wing, but now nothing. I don't know if he will make it.
Shrink wrapping can be caused by not enough humidity, I know. Which is why I don't know why I ended up with it, because my humidity has been spot on the whole time. I have been candling these eggs a lot, since I forgot the date they were set, so that may be it.
I brought home two dozen more turkey eggs today. I was going to pack up the incubator after this one and take it back to the breeder I got them from, but instead, she GAVE me her incubator (so she can get a better one) and more eggs and told me to 'just try one more'. So here we go again!
