First off, ALWAYS be calm.

I have AAA for that very reason...roadside assistance. Wonderful
thing. And I use it when needed.

Listen to the tow truck driver...he sounds a lot smarter than the dealeship.
I see no need to have the car towed yet. Make the key from the VIN. Not a
problem.

We were able to have a chip key made for us yesterday at Wal Mart for $50.00 It's a lot more than a regular key, but less than what the dealer wanted. They were able to use our key to have a new one made. Hope everything works out for you, Sheila.

Finally made it home last night. After we got the key fixed DD and I decided we wanted to go home so the roads didnt look to bad so we left. Got into Illinois no problem roads were pretty clear. Got near Staunton, Illinois when all of the sudden the car started making a awful noise and was trying to die on me. We found an exit and that was it the beast went belly up. Called a tow truck with my roadside to find out they will only tow me 15 miles after that I have to pay would have cost 411 dollars to tow home, so I had it towed to a Walmart in Litchfield and call my SIL. We sit in Walmart at 8 oclock last night with 10 chickies in a box wrapped in my coat. Got home finally about 11:30. DH and I have to go see if we can get the beast home. I'm really afraid I broke my timing belt.Thank you all for being with me yesterday and I want to tell everyone "Theres no place like home!"

I wanted to add the people at the Litchfield Walmart were wonderful and kind.
