I'm getting a baby dove or a baby pigeon, I need help?

So, ever since i got my adult ringneck dove couple, they haven't never mated before, and the only reason i got them was for their babies, not to eat them, just to train them and have them.

Anyway when I get either my baby pigeon or baby dove (i told the pet store owner to get a baby dove or pigeon for me) I want to know, how to actually keep it warm when im at School from 8am to 2:30pm (whenever i get a bus home), ya I know i should of waited for school vacation to reach but i don't think they breed in that time adn pet owner wouldn't bother. I don't know how young or old the baby dove or pigeon will be so i need to know, i could always let my brothers at home feed it but i need to know how to keep it warm? a small box and a warm blanket or just a plain incubator?

This probably sounds messed up and stupid for a person to do such a thing without knowing how to take care of an animal. I just need to know whether which options is best? And what if i have an incubator and theirs a blackout at night! ? WHAT DO I DO? suggest other things to me, i need to know all!

Get a pigeon that is 1 month old and you do not need any supplemental heat. It is already feathered out. Reason you do not get anything younger, and any pet shop should not sell anything such is this;;;; Pigeons are not like chickens. Baby chicks start eating on their own at hatch. Pigeons need their parents to feed them for the first stage of their life. After about 4 week or so, they can eat on their own. They still do bother their parent for regurgitated feed for a while longer.
In the picture below, these are not able to survive on their own. I tried hand feeding a few times those that were not thriving due to parent pigeon favoring the larger.. NO SUCCESS.


Born at the same time.(1 day apart) but the smaller one just did not thrive. Parent kept feeding the larger one and the smaller one just could not get enough feed to thrive.

Well, I don't really know at what age he will give me the pigeon or dove, but I'll just ask him if he could give me one at 3 weeks old or 4, I don't know if he will give me it at 1 month, what if he gives me it at a young age, what would i do? I do know how to open their mouths at a young age and to just pour in the goods, but i still don't have a strategy for a heat source in case he gives me a young pigeon or dove

I don't think anyone is going to give you a dove or pigeon that is not yet weaned. It would make no sense. It is a different thing with baby chicks, as I pointed out in first post. When you do get your pet, you should not need to supplement heat at all. Keep me posted when you do get your pet, and include pix. I also have some thoughts on your current ring neck dove pair. It is possible they are of same sex. It is difficult to tell difference between the males and females. Easiest is when experienced and observing behavior.

I just hope the Pet store owner really thinks about that, instead of giving me a young pigeon or dove, hopefully common sense hits him, And i have been observing my ringneck couple, The male acts as a normal usual male ringneck "Bowing, cooing, courting, going by a nest site and calling her with his coos" And the Female(hopefully it is a female) usually just do is "Coo when he coos, doesn't bow and coo to court the male, and just flicker her wings when she coos, when the male is close to her and cooing as well, also she comes to nest site/spot when the male is on top of it calling her" So is that a sign of her being a female
