Im getting my first ducks tomorrow..

Talked to her and she said she got them the week before easter. That makes them about 7 weeks old. With this warm and humid weather I think they will be okay outside (yes or no?). We are going to keep them penned up for a week like we would with chickens. About the snapping turtles.. I think I will skip on putting them in the pond then! We are going buy a baby pool until we can make a more permanent duck pond (not a pond, but a nice looking 'pool')
If temps are warm day and night at 7 weeks they should be fine. Don't forget to post pics.

No pictures tonight. Spent all the daylight putting up their run, and getting some new silkies. Neighbor said they were getting picked on by the bigger hens, one already was killed. While I was there I saw they had pigeons.. It's too dangerous out there for a gal like me, I'm planning an aviary for some now!

Anyways, 2 Pekins one Cayuga. When do the drakes develop that one curly feather by the tail?
