If you have difficulty removing the meat from the husk, you can steam it for 15 minutes, but cooking it does kill some of the good bacteria so I try to avoid it...

My flock will try just about anything, but coconut is one of their favorites.

There ya have it! Chickens CAN eat coconut and LOVE it!

Course it may not be a perfect 100% cure...depends on the severity of their condition.

Cocunut oil comes in solid form and must be kept refridgerated and is way more concentrated than one coconut would be...but I am not telling you to give it to your birds in lue of the meds...definately do as the Dr orders.....
