we have farm fencing for horses 2"x4" openings, only 4' high, we are going to raise it, put electric fence around exterior and the bird netting over top, not sure what kind of netting to get, area is 30'x30'. What I have seen is very expensive. any suggestions on electric or netting

Try www.cutlersupply.com for the netting. It does cost a bit to set up but you will save in the heartbreak and replacement birds for years.
