I'm going to purchase eggs...only option of polyfoam or paper for shipping

I'm getting eggs from Gabbard farms the only options are paper and papermache cartons or $10 worth of polyfoam. I read the last post on here and I tend to agree that bubble wrap is the best. In my mind that although the polyfoam would probably work great against breakage there is no shock absorption which would result in scrambled eggs. I think of it as putting an egg in my fist and shaking the egg..it may not break but there is no give so it scrambled. With bubble wrap and newspaper there is give when a box is jolted. But paper and paper cartons don't seem much better. Should I pay the $10 for the polyfoam or go with the paper?

From my experience of a lot of eggs received and sent -

Eggs simply in a lot of bubblewrap and the sort are the worst. They crack very easy from the weight and shuffling around.

Eggs in cartons seem to do the best. They're often cushioned into the carton, the carton being cushioned into the box. A good job prevents the eggs from moving at all, and never cracking.

Eggs in foam are also really good, however they still seem to jiggle a little more than cartons but it does vary. Most of my experience with them has been great, as the foam works just as well as cartons except better if the packer can't do a good enough carton job.

Don't really know what they mean by paper and paper cartons but I'm assuming they mean the normal soft type cartons instead of styrofoam, which in that case, either that or foam works. Depends on the job done. So I say of the two options, go with the cheaper perhaps?

Yeah I think its just the cheap regualar cartons and by paper I assume they mean wrapping the eggs/cartons in newspaper or papertowels. I like when people bubble wrap the eggs, place them in cartons, tape the carton shut, then place more paper/bubble wrap outside of the box. Thats my favorite.
