And update:

Wal-Mart didn't have the laser site, the one on the shelf had the package broken into and sight stolen. I'll have to keep checking 'em.

The rifle was advertised and spec'd as having a hooded front sight. Mine was missing this. I emailed the manufacturer and yesterday I got my bran' new front sight hood to pop on. Henry's excellent customer service strikes again (I theorize that the hood probably got knocked loose in the gun shop and lost, or it got "borrowed" to put on some other gun.
