I love mead. My favorite is a local place that specializes in meads and fruit/berry wines. No grapes.

I love fruit wines. There is a local orchard/winery that makes amazing fruit wines.

Mead - nectar of the gods. Some amazing stuff.

Similar to wine, it can be too sweet. Syrup. But some people drink sweet tree sap too.
