I'M IN A PANIC...NEED ADVISE...MY PEAHEN IS

I hope it works out. My 5yr old has been missing for 3 days and I'm frantic as well. I've looked all over and haven't found her nest.

Trefoll, I hope as well that your 'baby' shows up soon too!

forgot I have to go sit at the hospital today....
my daughter in law had her appendix took out
and may get to come home so I have to be
available for her and hopefully bring her home too...

but guess you know that every other spare minute I
have I will be hunting for her and any nest she
may have...

everyone stay safe...

If you have any buildings or place up high where the roof is flat or simi flat, mine like to lay on my conex box and Cyclone wrake, ran one off the rake to cut the grass and 2 days later she was back to laying up there. found eggs on a tarp that covered a pen used for sick or injured birds, so they do like it up high.

yeah, have several places like that around the pens and packhouse...
she isn't above any pens and have checked packhouse but today plan on getting
up just a bit higher to rule out the packhouse area then its back out to check
around the edge of the orchard for any signs she may be in the woods??
checked the east and north side of the woods yesterday so today will check
the rest....
don't know what to think if I don't find her at one of these places.....my other
peas have been yelling for days starting as soon as they wake up...

it's 7am here so need to jump on it and get out there and hunt for her.....
I only hope I find her and she is well!

I bet she is close by and watching you every time you pass by, my DH says they laugh at me when i am looking for them and walk past their hidding place.

Good luck finding your girl!
Don't forget that they try to make a hard-to-find nest to protect their eggs and chicks.
Jade is probably more wily than you realized!

I really hope you all are right, that she is watching us run around her and just can't see her at all....

it's Sunday evening and no signs of Jade but as you mentioned I also have not seen any of her
feathers laying around either..so, no struggle...

I want her home...now!

I found my hen, I had been walking right by her for days. She's nesting in a brush pile left by the electric company less than 10' from my bedroom window. duh.
