Hello I'm in New Zealand, I have seven hens of mixed breeds except two hyline young girls that Kay massive eggs for their age,. I've had hens for fourth years, they free range, I love to watch them up the garden looking for grubs and getting excited when they see me, we aren't supposed to free range but it's my garden and they can't get out.
so cheers to that and may you all be safe from COVID 19.

a note, mash and pellets are sold out in Dunedin my area, so I bought a big bag of small dog biscuits for the hopper, I didn't know what else to do

Wow, we have been in isolation for about 5 days now, I didn’t think of grinding dog food as an alternative method of feeding the hens. I am definitely adding that to the food alternatives if things get worse. Stay safe and greetings from Puerto Rico.

Welcome to BYC kiwi friend! I think this is the 3rd post I’ve seen from you today, bored in the pandemic?! I spent a month in your country traveling around in a camper March of 2018. Regretfully we didn’t get down to Dunedin, too many beautiful places to see! We were ready to pack up and move there but we both have parents close by in their mid-80’s. I hope everything works out for you soon (and all of us).
