I have 2 chicks laying . I let them free range every evening around 430 till dark. With my supervision. Anyway, only one of the two laying had layed her eggs before I let them out to free range. I thought she'd either not lay are I'd see her lay it in the yard somewhere. I couldn't find her I went back to the coop & she was in her nest & layed an egg. Thought it was pretty amazing she would do this.
