Farm Frenzy, a young cockerel at first may call the ladies over as he eats all the treats. My cockerel's attitude at first was "you're first, right after me." He finally realized that he got better results if the hens got the goodies. Or if he just picked them up and "beaked" it to his hens.

Like others have said, the ladies need a chance to get to know their new rooster. After all, you raised those hens to be "nice girls." In time, they'll think he's a rock star, captain of the football team, and all that all rolled into one.

Well I hope so. I tried the meal worm trick, and he did call them over!! I couldn't believe it actually worked.

So now what? And they haven't layed since I put them in there, about a week ago. I know that there is an adjustment period, but how long does it usually take for them to start laying again...roughly.

...Now in all fairness she wanted that and he did get some suggestions for perfumes.

So all is well? We got his back up, didn't we?
