conversation with my grandma about my chickens----

Me: Pawpaw said I could have 10 chickens.

    Her: *rolls eyes*

Me: Well actually he said I could have as many as I wanted.

    Her: I don't think so.

Me: So I'm going to have 10 chickens and 1 rooster.

Her: But a rooster is a chicken.

Me: But roosters don't count as chickens because I can only have one. So he'll have 10 ladies. But that's an uneven number, 11 chickens. So I'll probably get 11 ladies. But Chicken Lady is giving me 3 chickens, the rooster plus 2 bantam ladies. Those 2 bantam ladies equals only one chicken because they're so small. That means she's only giving me two chickens, so I can get 10 more to equal 12!!!!

    Her: *rolls eyes*

Desirai, you just earned an "A" in Chicken Math! That's EXACTLY how it works for people with family members.

In my case, I have no one to convince but myself. (And I cave in easily.)

LOL I told grandma I'd give her another lesson in chicken math soon. A lesson she won't be able to say no to because it'll be peeping in her face. [IMG]
