I've run across many, many threads and posts that just plain and simply are NOT my cup of tea. I may read it to try to get to know a bit about a person (or at least what they are showing of themselves) but for the most part, I avoid them. There is nothing stopping you from doing the same.
If someone persistently posts in a thread you've created and you just don't like what they are posting, you can implement the all powerful "Ignore" feature and you won't see what they've written. I've had to do this from time to time but I eventually can turn it off as the person that is irritating me usually wanders off to threads where they fit in better.
If they are posting contrary to the guidelines of conduct for BYC, report the post. You don't have to write anything more than "Investigate content" in the report but it should certainly contain language that is against BYC policy, not just something you don't like.
I hope you stay. This is a great place to learn and socialize! :D

Personally I think "leaving byc...maybe forever" seems like an over reaction. bit dramatic/immature. There is a HUGE spectrum of actions you could take before that like spending less time on here or taking a break or utilizing that ignore button or working to fix this place you think is so broken instead of LEAVING FOREFVER!!!!

Not sure why people seem to get so upset over "🙄🤚" when they don't even know what it means, or people wanting to make friends, or rainbows. If none of it effects you then there is no reason to leave over it.
And if you continuously see things that you don't like in a thread, then stop looking at that thread. Scroll by the whole thread itself. It's not that complicated. Or you can take a break, or start your own thread, or just stay out of random ramblings all together.

While I agree that it is really quite silly how everything turns into an argument about LBGTQ+, and this has (I think) become a bit of a problem, complaining about it will not help. Again, scroll by. Ignore it. It shouldn't effect you. Otherwise you'll just add to the arguing. Same goes for other topics that get out of hand. If something actually breaks BYC rules then you can report it, but please do not go around reporting people just because you got offended over something they've said.

I just don't see how throwing a pitty party is helping yourself.
