I'm looking for a new breed i was thinking what breed Ameracauna, Light Brahmas, lavender orpington

Well i need a very hardy breed and I've singled it down to light brahma ee australorp and i live in wyoming
 
Guys i think i have my problem solved...... murray mcmurray hatchery will let u buy 15 minimum and they said u could mix so light brahma ee australorp
 
That's who we got our newest chicks from back in April. We were happy with their service and the birds, hope you have a similar good feeling about them!
 
I chose brahma as my favorite after a mixed order but will always keep australorp in the hen barn for more eggs than the brahma.

I've raised Australorps for years and I'm convinced they are one of the hardiest breeds in existence. I raised them where winter temperatures dipped to 30 F below zero, and where summer temperatures frequently reached 117-118 F (123 F once), and in both cases, they came through like troopers. They are also very calm and gentle (my children, and now my granddaughter, made lap pets of them), and the best layers of the standard, brown egg laying breeds.
