My Welsummer hen goes into her laying box everyday makes her noise to let you know she layed me an egg I go straight to the box and NOTHING o_O when she did lay they were super thin.....or they were cracked under their roosting poles and I'd find them first thing the next morning. It's been a couple months since that now it's nothing. I have oyster shell sitting out.... I give them egg shell ....meal worms as treat ...what else??:barnie

Yes I have 9 more (6 of them just got 3 weeks ago) but this was before I got them and surprisingly they all get along great. She is actually my friendliest . I get an egg a day from my olive egger. My Ameraucana is laying good for as hot as it is . My Black Copper Maran just decided to go Broody . The young ones are great . My chicken free range and I scoop the poop everyday thats in the coop under the roost and with the heat right now "clean " the coop every weekend. The feed is Purina Layena Plus I believe the Omega 3...

It vary well may be the heat. You could try providing things to help cool them down, such as watermelon as a treat, frozen water bottles, a moist cool place to dust bathe and plenty of shade.

Thanks I'll try anything they've made plenty of their own dust bathing areas in my gravel driveway lol

Try putting her on poultry Nutri-Drench in addition to offering the extra calcium. She may be laying internally. If that's the case, there's not much that you can do other than cull her when you see that she is not feeling well.

Thanks! I've used Big Ole Bird twice with my girls but I'll look at that!
