im lost, please help!

okay we are brand new to backyard chickens. We have 5 hens and one rooster ( we wanted 6 hens). They roam during the day and then are in the coop at night. They love nothing more than to come in the garage and hang out sometimes. Well the rooster had been in there by himself for a few days. Then yesterday there was a hen with him. Well today we found an egg in the bucket full of rocks he was sitting in. Can I eat this egg? Is this where my hens will try to lay all there eggs now? Should I move the bucket to their coop?

Sounds like he lured a hen to that spot. Roosters will sit in a box and coo to the hens to show them that this is a good spot to lay. Yes, it's fine to eat the egg, as it wasn't out there more than a day. The one hen may continue to try to lay there if she likes that spot.
