I'm making a free flock management system

That would be great. Then we don't have to go looking for the program when we want to add something in.

You can make your own by remembering the folder the program installs to, finding the PROGRAM.EXE* icon, right click, 'Create Shortcut'. This will make a shortcut to the actual program executable that you can right click again to cut, then go to your desktop, right click anywhere and click paste. Voila! A desktop shortcut!

This should be named whatever the program is called - like Firefox.exe or Outlook.exe...

In the readme - are you sure you mean "* Run installer.exe and let it install" because the file I see in the unzipped folder is 'Setup.exe'

I've installed everything, including the Setup.exe file.

I can see the program, with the Start l Your Flock l Chicks l Egg Production l etc. and under that 'Bock Bock Bock!'.

Guessing that's as far as the program goes right now right?

Everything went really quickly. Windows Vista and I can provide more specs if you want.

Just installed it on XP. Same results as alicefelldown only there's also a small blank black screen that opens along with and separate from the Flock Manager window with the tabs. Also the control panel is different in xp: go to Performance and Maintenance and then system.

Everything went very smoothly. Good Job!

When I try to Run the python-2.6.4.msi installer it says error cannot copy to c: and when I click on the icon to run the program the screen flashes and disapears.

Are you sure it was the python installer? I've been having that problem sometimes with the GTK+ installer.

Yes I just uninstalled it and tried again and got the same error message.
Everything else installed fine.
