I'm making a free flock management system

Tried the download and got a message at the end that it crashed. I have windows xp. Hope you get it working as I am interested!

Downloaded with xp and when I tried to open it a small window opened with 'open file' 'create a new file' or 'exit' options on it. When I click on open file or create a new file a 'select file' window opens with drop down menu. When I click on exit I get message: Flock Manager crashed. Error message is: global name 'exit' is not defined

Did install just fine. At the end it said that it crashed. I have a Microsoft media center edition XP. tHats all I know about this thing haha. I'm a little behind well alot behind on technology.

****It said it was succesfully removed from my computer***

I'm thinking of rewriting Flock Manager as a website.
Pros:
1) You won't have to install anything - just sign up and vola!
2) You can access your info from any computer or phone connected to the internet.
3) Because of the above, Flock Manager will work on the iPhone and Blackberry. As someone said earlier in this thread, "Computer is in the house.. iPhone is almost always in my pocket for notes, pictures.."
4) Won't take up space on your hard drive
5) Will likely be faster for those of you with slow computers
6) You will never have to worry about updating - the latest working version will always be available
7) Reports will be much easer for me to make - therefore there will be more of them

Cons:
1) I will have to rewrite much of the code (I know, again)
2) Therefore the release date will probably be pushed back (again)
3) You will have to have internet access to use Flock Manager (But if you are reading this, you probably have internet acess

)

Any thoughts, ideas, suggestions comments?

Honestly TM, I would do whatever is easier for you. I don't think anybody minds installing it on their computer. I know I wouldn't. the internet thing is ok but it's an awful lot of work. I would just do whatever is more easier for you

It would be a tad more work at the start, because I would have to rewrite a lot of code. But once it's up and running, I think it would be easier for me to test, roll out updates, fix bugs, etc.

Well, the pros are longer than the cons, so if it's hard at the begining but will be easier for you to update then I would go for the internet.

the only complaint about the internet version, is servers do go down, and then your history file(s) could be lost.

But do what ever you consider easier for you.....
