Im new at this. Don't know the breed. im assuming dominique but no sure the gender??

It's a Cuckoo Maran hen, and will lay lovely dark brown eggs for you.

That's a barred rock pullet or very poor hatchery quality dom. Dominiques should have a rose (flat) comb.

Edited to add: could be a CM based on skin color (legs appear white but it's a poor quality photo)... but it appears to be barred, not cuckoo. I am not, however, familiar with the appearance of hatchery CM.
