Welcome to our BYC Flock!

If you want gentle, cold hardy breeds, I would recommend Orpingtons (there are a variety of colors!). If you are ordering from a hatchery, Mt. healthy allows small orders with a 3 bird minimum in the spring, and has 5 different Orpington colors! They are a bit pricey, but the benefit is you can get a small order and individual chicks of different breeds! Good luck!
