I finally have chickens again! Been awhile and I'm thrilled. Got a few barred rock and Isa reds. They are 3 months old. Had barred rocks all my life (I'm 71) but I'm not very familiar with the sex links. At what age should I expect them to start laying?

They should start laying at 18-22 weeks old.

Hello, and welcome to BYC. Generally they will start laying around 22 weeks old, but given the shortening daylight period they may go longer before starting.

Welcome back to chicken ownership! Hopefully they don't torture you too much with waiting. Being a hatchery production breed, I don't think they will make you wait much longer than 22 weeks, if they do.
