I'm new here and looking to learn more about having some chickens in my suburban back yard. My city allows for 3 chickens, more if you apply for a permit. I'd be interested in advice on the most reasonably-priced, but effective backyard chicken coops. Thank you!!

Some people have made very reasonably priced coops from recycled materials (such as pallets, old play houses, swing sets, etc.). Check out the Coops articles and see if you find something that will give you some ideas:
