Hi, I'm new here. I first had chickens 40 years ago. Just 1. Penny. Lonely little Araucana hen. She gave me an egg every day. Since then I've had as many as 30. I currently have only 8.
I really like the heavy chickens. Cochins & Brahmas & Jersey Giants.
I'm actively looking for a couple of Light Brahma pullets.
I've had as many as 7 parrots at one point. They are an enormous investment of time & resources. They are all so different in personality. I have only 1 now. I worry all the time about tracking in any funk from my chicken runs. My birds are quite healthy but, as they say, crap happens.
You know where you stand with yard birds. They respond according to their treatment. People should be so simple.
