ISA browns are consistent egg layers
They lay big brown eggs and if they're healthy then the yolks are beautiful and bright yellow they are sweet chickens and they are simply all around great chickens for a first timer.
You can look on Craigslist and you will find a lot of play houses for sale and for free they can hold up to six chickens ( depending on the size of the house) put some roosts in there and you will be all set!:thumbsup

Feathers are in large numbers at molt. Some feathers can be use for pillows and etc. and some use them for making fishing flies.

A good use for them though is to compost them
