I'm new to incubating chicken eggs - quick!

:welcome! My advice would be to do as much research as possible first. And I think the very best advice I can give you is to start with some cheap eggs, perhaps from your own birds, before you buy eggs from any breeds you may want to hatch. This way you will be able to learn what works best for you and any mistakes won't be as costly. Playing around a bit will help you learn what will work for you. For instance, you can try wet hatching versus dry hatching and see which one works best for you. You can get accustomed to your incubator, especially if it's a cheaper styrofoam one, because those require some fooling around with before you get it exactly right. So I guess my advice is: practice!
