First i loaded 120 eggs, 69 hatched, on my 2nd batch i got many problems, i loaded 120 eggs and only 51 hatched, a friend told me that before loading i need to fumigate the incubator with formalin and a kind of pottassium, to kill the dreaded gram positive bacteria. Please advise many many thanks!

I just wipe mine out with a mild bleach & water combo. & never had any problems, it takes time to get to know what your bator can & cant do, just hang in there & everything will fall into place, trial & error, good luck.

    It happens.

In my two hatches last year, I had 66 eggs first hatch, got 43 chicks.

Next hatch I had 80 eggs, got 43 chicks.

We'll see what happens for my New Years Day hatch this year.

Roos are crowing, I gotta get in the shower.
  4. That is so many more eggs than I hatch here. But bad hatches happen sometimes.
