I'm new!

Hi, I'm new, I believe I have a friend on here who is truly a eggspert!

I live in the UK, right in the middle in the West Midlands.

We got our first chickens today, 5 White Star chicks around 5 weeks old (3 boys, 2 girls) from my sons' school.

I also run a jewellery manufacturing company - making silver jewellery from finger, hand, foot and paw prints - thinking there may be some claw prints coming soon! I also make soy wax candles, soaps, semi-precious jewellery and crocheting - mmm, crocheted chickens!

We also have a black house cat - not sure he has any idea what the chicks are!

Oh, I have a hubby too who looks a bit like Paul Hollywood - yippee!

So, that's me and my family.

BYC has Topic of the Week discussions which I have found to be a great resource, informative and sometimes entertaining; so definitely worth checking out.

If you would like to share Pictures and Stories of your flock and/or other critters, you have come to the right place. BYC’ers never tire of these and do not back away slowly or commence eye rolling when the photo album or home videos come out

Including your general location on your profile will assist others. Location, climate, season etc can be important factors when members are responding to any questions you may have and vice versa.
