Hi there new to this forum and to keeping chickens can anyone help me and tell what breed these are ? I brought them from an auction when I got a little carried away as the were sold as Burford brown and my name is Ben Burford lol !!

Hello and Welcome To BYC! Are you in the UK? The Burford Brown is a cross, bred to lay dark brown eggs, those chicks don't look like the pictures of them though, wonder if you have one of the Legbar crosses instead? They could be mixed breeds. But I also am not sure.

I think the one on the right is a male, but, who knows. I never heard of that breed/mix??

Yes unfortunately got 4 cocks out of my 7 chicks brought at auction.
