SIGH.
Today I went into town to get antibiotics for the sneezing and watery-eyed turkey. When I got home, not only did the little guy run around sneezing on everyone and everything, but my biggest chick (7-8 weeks old) had a bloody tail.
So, I dosed up all the waterers with antibiotics and picked up the chick and blue coted her tail and bottom of the wings. The injury was minor -- it looked worse but I didn't need the others picking on it. So, the first thing she does is stick her head and bill in the blue cote. So, she has a blue head and bill to go along with the blue butt.
This reminds me of when I was taking care of my sled dog team (I'm on hiatus at the moment). The chicks are almost as bad.
Maybe I should've been a veterinarian instead of a pet and Science Fiction/Fantasy author?
