So, real quick cause I gotta go, its official!

I have successfully hatched quail from eggs produced by quail I hatched myself.
This generation is entirely my doing.

Got 37/38 eggs hatched, pretty good?

I gotta go, pics later or tomoro . . .

The last egg was hatched when I just got home, so 38/38.
These are from my jumbo eggs too, so theyll be nice big birds.

Im too tired and dirty to do pics right now, we been workin on the race car all night, Pinks All Out is only 6 weeks away . . .
You guys know what a baby quail looks like anyways . . .

These are also the same eggs as the pickled eggs Im sitting here munchin on at this very minute!

And I guess that $18.50 for my license was worth it after all

NICE! Congrats on the great hatch rate, and on being an Official Gamebird Breeder, lol. If that's what it takes, I guess we hit that milestone about three weeks ago. My six-year-old has a pen full of quail from eggs we hatched and he decided to go ahead and put some eggs in the bator even though we were sure they weren't fertile yet. One hatched and is now about three weeks old...

There's another nine in the brooder from a couple days ago, some of which hatched from our own hatchlings, and then another 60 in the bator, also some of which came from quail we hatched.

Woot! Can I join the Official Gamebird Breeder Club now?
