The fact is that the human body is normally about 98.6. That would be a little low for proper incubation. If the egg is being held outside the body, say in a bra or pocket inside a sweater or something else, that space will be lower than 98.6. Unless you can figure out a way to make that space closer to body temperature or a bit higher, it is very unlikely you can take the embryo to term.

I may have missed it because I didn't read the whole thread but where on your body are you keeping this egg? Have you placed a reliable thermometer there to check the temperature?

I don't see a need to deviate from a normal approach to hatching. In other words, the chick needs to do the work.
Have you been turning the egg several times a day? That's as important as temperature.

I have been turning it several times a day. I wanted to try this and its growing well.
I saw a little air cell this morning when I candled.

I have been turning it several times a day. I wanted to try this and its growing well.
I saw a little air cell this morning when I candled.

So the egg is being held above normal body temperature? At near 99.5?
The appearance of an air cell means moisture is being lost (which is normal whether the egg is being incubated or not).
A growing dark mass means the embryo is growing.

Not sure if it's just the quality of the pictures, but it looks like there is almost no development. Maybe the embryo died?

Could the humidity be too high? That would cause a small air cell. Correct?
