You seem to have a lot of unexplained deaths. There needs to be some serious management changes between you and your mother soon, or there will be more deaths. These birds are not living correctly.

Can you explain your setup to us please?
A few questions that may help us help you-

How big is your coop and run. Can you get an exact measurement/dimensions?
How many adult chickens do you have in that coop and run?
Have you lost any other chickens since then?
How did this bird drown her self you think? Did she fall into the water, get bumped into the water by another chicken?
How often do you clean your coop?
What are you feeding?
Check all of your birds, by chance do any cough, sneeze, have bubbles in their eyes, have nasal or ocular discharge?

I really hope I can help! I'll just need a bit more info to try and figure out what happened to this bird. I feel like she may not have drowned, and their could be another reason of her death. I want to help you figure it out so you can treat your other birds before they get sick.
