Im so concerned about the lack of feathering in my baby (pic included)

Here she/he is today. This pic shows the weird feathering pattern appearing on her knees. Note, no tail or shoulder feathers
Darn it, the program is not allowing me to upload a pic. Anyway, I will when I get a chance. Her daddy could be an Ameraucana but I think her mama is one of my Australorp hens

I would have never given up on him, no way. He is my baby and he is small. When he holds his tail out it extends as long as the rest of his body from beak to butt.
