In the" Other Backyard poultry" you will find threads pertaining to guineas.

For chickens rule of thumb seems to be 4 sq.feet per bird inside the coop and 10 sg.feet per bird in the outdoor run. If you have very harsh winters where birds may stay indoors for long periods of time, it would be good to have more room per bird. If they are too crowded and bored, chickens till start pecking at each other, fighting and worse.
