Sounds like an HOA, not a town…gracious!Don't worry -- they've got fines for all those things, too. No cars in yards except on pavement, no overnight parking on streets without prior permission, no faded paint, no lawns higher than 3". . .
Ronald Reagan: “[Freedom] is not ours by way of inheritance; it must be fought for and defended constantly by each generation, for it comes only once to a people”.What happened to "America, .... the land of the free...."?
“Freedom” is now found only in the rural areas, I guess. On my property I can do whatever, even though I am twenty minutes from town. I don’t have a gun.Or does the "free" nowadays only applies to owning and carrying as many guns as you like?![]()
Because they have money. Money is power. The rich rule America. Also, why is it most politicians are the people with the least amount of common sense?
Now THAT’S funny$50k if you fart due to carbon emissions.
A lot depends on which state you live in and which town. What happened to "America, .... the land of the free...."?

This is why living in the county here is so great. We have a well and no one tells us how or when to use it; don’t even need a permit to put a fence up along the property line. Crappy property? that’s between you and the neighbors (to a point of course). Want chickens and roosters? No problem, do what you want. Only service coming into the house is electricity(which is supplied by a co-op) and internet. Wasn’t what I would have listed as a first choice for relocation……but, I’ve grown to really appreciate where we are. They fine you for watering on certain days in summer. When grass has to be watered daily otherwise it dies.
We are planning to move to a farmland. This is why living in the county here is so great. You do realize that I am now envious of you.We are planning to move to a farmland.
Now I do.You do realize that I am now envious of you.
