My grandparents had one of those at their vacation home. It's funny when I think of it because they didn't have a dishwasher at home. Maybe Grandma thought if she was on vacation she didn't need to do the dishes??? For just Grandpa and Grandma I don't think they used it much, but they used it when family was visiting them. Loved going "Up North" to visit them in the summers. They stayed up there most of the summer. (Is going "Up North" mostly a Michigan thing?)I remember the roll out ones you hooked up to the faucet.

I lived in Michigan for most of my childhood; we never went up “up north” except to visit my grandparents who lived in the UP.My grandparents had one of those at their vacation home. I wish we had taken a trip to the UP when we had the chance. I remember the beauty of the northern part of the LP.I lived in Michigan for most of my childhood; we never went up “up north” except to visit my grandparents who lived in the UP.
Ya ..I don't wash my mom's way anymore either. Just can't here. But I've found lots of tricks that I think keep my dishes as clean and uses an an acceptable amount of water.I’m in the desert and we now only get a bit more than 7” of rain a year so are getting creative with water saving techniques. If I must rinse I give it a light scrub with a wet sponge instead.
Anything is possible in Michigan.... Had to wear a jacket to my high school graduation open house at the end of June. It was cold that day!I don't know. Never did when I lived in MI.
What I do remember was that in the late 60's playing football with a group of us young of the child bearing years and having to wear a sweater in July.....
Seems like every Friday & Saturday the state highways are extremely busy going north and the opposite happens every Sunday. It's even worse near a holiday. It can be difficult sometimes to get a tractor and piece of equipment across the highway sometimes! My nieces and nephews sit out on their front porch counting RVs headed north.I lived in Michigan for most of my childhood; we never went up “up north” except to visit my grandparents who lived in the UP.
All we can do is our bestYa ..I don't wash my mom's way anymore either. Just can't here. But I've found lots of tricks that I think keep my dishes as clean and uses an an acceptable amount of water.![]()
