We bought my son the Paris edition of Stars and Stripes from May 1945. The editions that feature Hitler being dead. He's a huge WWII nerd and loved it

It was the Germany Edition of the Stars and Stripes Newspaper. Dated Wednesday, August 15, 1945.
The Stars and Stripes was a daily newspaper of the US Armed Forces in the European Theater. The WW2 in Europe was called the European Theater.
It was announcing the that war in Europe was over at 1am, August 15, 1945.

This edition belonged to my father. When he came home from the war he brought it with him.
