I also own one of those things, and it is still in useThis Carpet Beater belonged to my Grandmother. As you can see it had plenty of use. I have it hanging over the pantry door in our kitchen. View attachment 4278489
I must say, generic lego does not hold as well as the original pieces, trust me, when you have 4 kids, you try to save, where you can, but when everything the kids build falls apart, you go back to expensive legoThere still are just plain Lego pieces available.
Once upon a time a craft store was selling lego knockoff dirt cheap. These were actually decent. They came with tons of random bricks, including tons of the 4x2 ones. There were also boxes of just doors and windows. Greatest thing ever. And on sale!
I never actually built a full on wall for my things. Instead, I dreamed big and made tons of buildings with walls two bricks high and built the rest of the walls in my head.
With no remote ... unless you count the two-legged ones ...the kids!
Still have one ... in the same box, but my "Old Maid" sports a mustache these days. I was mad at my little brother when he did it, but it seems to fit, now. Maybe I'll give her a few chin hairs, too!
