I'm soo.....MAD!

You tell your husband that there are millions of Americans who are proud of him and his service to our country. I've decided after the last couple of weeks to no longer keep silent on the things I believe in.

A big thanks to your husband and all the service men and women who keep us free!

Michele.

The absolutely first thing I taught my three small sons many years ago was that Freedom is the most important thing in life, because others have died for our Freedom...treasure and safeguard it...do nothing to lose it, and follow the 10 Commandments to safeguard that Freedom.

Yes, it is really sad. My family has served in all the wars since 1862--two ancestors died in prison camps in the Civil War. My uncle was a wounded survivor of the Normandy Beach battle, and my son served two tours in Iraq. We are tired of war but we are more tired of unpatriotic, ungrateful American citizens.

For those of you who are too young to remember, some of us VietNam Vets were spit on when returning home. I was young then and it was so hard to understand. I volunteered for Nam and so was even more shocking to me. I think its still a reason that Nam Vets have not adjusted totally, even to this day. Very sad and hard to believe it is still that way with some people. Your hubby is a hero, make no mistake about it!

If it was indeed in reference to him, maybe they thought he was a recruiter..... there was a lot going around just last year about recruiters in elementary and junior high schools.

Y'know it goes agaonst everything I believe in but gosh sometimes I think some people's citizenship should be revoked for sheer stupidity!

But, what grade is you son? Is it possible she thought he was a recruiter? There are some people who are adamantly against recruiters being allowed in schools. (I am not one of them mind you, but I sort of understand their perspective....)

Tell your husband that I personally want to thank him for his service to our country and your son's school and I personally apologize if that woman offended him.

:thun :thun My father was in the Army A Vietnam Vet, brother was also in the Army and my other brother was in the Air Force. Recently my daughter's boyfriend of 4 yrs has graduated from the Air Force academy. I am so proud of them that and knowing that they have or are going to protect our country makes my chest feel likes its about to burst.
